CLIENT ASK: Create an opening title sequence that tells the darker backstory of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 through a collision of newspaper headlines and 8-bit characters—revealing how Fazbear Entertainment publicly deflects blame for a child’s death and manipulates the narrative to place responsibility on Charlotte herself.
CHALLENGES: Designing headlines that felt period-accurate, believable, and instantly legible while clearly communicating complex story beats, alongside developing new 8-bit character designs that introduced the Marionette and expanded the FNAF visual language without losing narrative clarity.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 continues the story of survivors from the first film as the nightmare surrounding Freddy Fazbear’s deepens, pulling them back into a more dangerous and unraveling mystery. As new secrets about the restaurant and its haunted animatronics surface, the line between past and present horrors begins to collapse.
